Building kites requires patience, especially when they are built from four tetrahedral shapes. Some students were able to build their own, some students had to find a partner and make it a team effort. They were very happy to test them and see they really fly well, even if there is no wind. They just had to run and give the kite a lift. They learned about similarities with the paper airplanes that they built the week before. In the afternoon when the wind picked up, they learned one big difference – we fly the kites against the wind and the paper airplanes with the wind.
