Lindsay Bowen

Third Grade Teacher

Hi! My name is Lindsay Bowen.  I have a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Brigham Young University-Hawaii.  I am licensed to teach K-6 Multiple Subjects in the great state of Utah.  I have been the recipient of many scholarships including the Makana Ike’ Scholarship,  multiple academic scholarships, and the School of Education Scholarship.

I have been teaching 3rd grade at Soldier Hollow since 2014 and couldn't enjoy teaching children in this environment more!  I love to travel, learn new things, and experience new places. I love being a mom to my four children, and a wife to my adventure-seeking husband. My motto in life is to “Work Hard, Play Harder” and I try each day to accomplish both. I love teaching at Soldier Hollow as I consider myself a life-long learner. I enjoy living in Midway, Utah and am often out hiking waterfalls and picnicking at Deer Creek.

I am a huge believer of place-based and experiential education and love our focus and charter. My capstone project for my master's degree was on the benefits of outdoor learning for children.  I have years of experience in teaching all grades, ages, and levels, and look forward to meeting your child’s needs as best I can through a conscious effort to differentiated instruction. My ultimate goal is to provide an environment where all students thrive and develop a greater love for learning!
