Mark Bagley

Fifth Grade Teacher

Hi, my name is Mark Bagley and I grew up in a small town called Koosharem in Southern Utah. Attending small schools was awesome and it gave me so many opportunities to be involved in team sports, student government, music, etc.

So it feels great to teach in a smaller school here at Soldier Hollow!  I love this school’s connection to the environment. Growing up on a ranch in Koosharem meant being outdoors a lot and my father taught me to care for the land and for animals as well.

I graduated from Utah State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, and additional endorsements in Math Level 3 and English.  Most of my teaching experience these past 28 years has been in Alpine School District (Utah County) where I taught 6th grade, but I have also taught middle school math for 5 years and loved it as well.

My hobbies are centered around my kids: playing outdoors with them, photographing them, supporting them in school plays, team sports, and also help in doing their nightly homework (if that’s a hobby!). Being a Dad is the best job in the world!

Being a teacher here at Soldier Hollow is the 2nd best job and I look forward to doing all I can to help students reach their potential academically and to be outstanding citizens in our school and in this wonderful community here in Heber Valley.
