Fundraising / Grant Writing Committee

Our fundraising and grant writing committee serves a dual purpose:

  1. Work together to find/coordinate the fundraising opportunities. Please note that you don’t have to do all the fundraising, but you should be aware of all the fundraising efforts that are happening so that our families do not feel overwhelmed by them.
  2. Find grants that are available for our school to apply for that meet our charter and goals. Assistance in writing these grants is greatly appreciated, but the most important task is finding grants that SHCS will qualify for funding.

Technology Committee

Create a 1, 3, and 5 year technology plan for the school so that we can have a unified view for how technology will be used at the school. The plans should consider the best way to spend available technology grant funds while keeping within the charter of the school.

Safety Committee

Implement the safety policies and training that were created over the last school year. The safety committee will also review safety policies as needed or at the direction of the Board.

Volunteer Committee

Coordinate and publicize volunteer opportunities and report volunteer hours to families so they know where they stand.

School Improvement Plan Committee

Identify goals and create a school improvement plan for Board approval.

Art Committee

Work with the art and music teachers to provide project ideas and organize fundraisers and school-wide art contests. The art committee will help plan, set up, and run our annual art show and music performances.

Green Council / Social Committee

Work with the student green council to support the environmental focus of the school charter and organize social activities to enhance the feeling of community and foster the development of rewarding relationships between parents, teachers, and staff at Soldier Hollow.
